1.2. Information We May Automatically Collect About You.Our Website may automatically collect certain Information about you. We use this Information to help us design our Website to better suit our users’ needs. This Information may include:
- IP address, which is the number associated with the service through which you access the Internet, like your ISP (Internet service provider);
- Date and time of your visit or use of our Website;
- Domain server from which you are using our Website;
- Type of computer, web browsers, search engine used, operating system, or platform you use;
- Data identifying the web pages you visited prior to and after visiting our Website or use of our Website;

1.3.2. Flash Cookies. We may use local shared objects, also known as Flash cookies, to store your preferences such as volume control or display content based upon what you view on our site to personalize your visit. Third parties, with whom we partner to provide certain features or to display advertising based upon your browsing activity, use Flash cookies to collect and store information. Flash cookies are different from browser cookies because of the amount of, type of, and how data is stored. Cookie management tools provided by your browser will not remove Flash cookies.
1.3.3. Web Beacons. Website pages may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages and for other related statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity). We also use these technical methods to analyze the traffic patterns, such as the frequency with which our users visit various parts of the Website. These technical methods may involve the transmission of Information either directly to us or to a third party authorized by us to collect Information on our behalf. Our Website uses retargeting pixels from Google, Facebook, and other ad networks. Information we may access about you, with your consent, may include, but is not limited to, your basic Social Media Platform information, your location data, your list of contacts, friends or followers and certain information about your activities on the Social Media Platform. Please keep in mind that when you provide Information to us on a third-party website or platform, the Information you provide may be separately collected by the third-party website or the Social Media Platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1. Use and Purpose of Processing Your Information. We use and process your Information for things that may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- To provide you with the Website, and information regarding our products, promotions, newsletters, contests, sweepstakes, and information you request;
- To respond to your inquiries and provide you with requested information and other communications, including by email, and including alerts, notification of promotions, contests, and events;

2.2.1. Third-Party Service Providers. We may share your Information with third-party service providers that perform certain functions or services on our behalf (such as to host the Website, manage databases, perform analyses, provide customer service, or send communications for us). These third-party service providers are authorized to use your Information only as necessary to provide these services to us. In some instances, we may aggregate Information we collect so third parties do not have access to your particular Information to identify you individually.
2.2.2. Third-Party Partners for Marketing or Analytics Purposes. We may share your Information with partners whose offerings we think may interest you provided you have not opted out of received such sharing.
2.2.3. Disclosure of Information for Legal and Administrative Reasons. 2.2.4. Business Transfers. Your Information may be transferred, sold or otherwise conveyed (“Conveyed”) to a third party where we: (i) merge with or are acquired by another business entity; (ii) sell all or substantially all of our assets; (iii) are adjudicated bankrupt; or (iv) are liquidated or otherwise reorganize. 2.2.5. Online Communications (Chatrooms, Forums, Contests, Message Boards). If you correspond with us by email, questionnaires, surveys, social media, or other digital online platform, we may retain such correspondence and the Information contained in it and use it to respond to your inquiry.
4. Information Security. We use commercially reasonable measures to provide our Website. However, you should assume that no data transmitted over the Internet or stored or maintained by us or our third-party service providers can be 100% secure. Therefore, although we believe the measures implemented by us reduce the likelihood of security problems to a level appropriate to the type of data involved, we do not promise or guarantee, and you should not expect, that your Information or private communications will always remain private or secure. 5. Data Retention. We will retain your Information for as long as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your Information to provide you services, please contact us at PRIVACY@INTUITIVESHIPPING.COM. We will retain and use your Information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. In accordance with our routine record keeping, we may delete certain records that contain Information you have submitted to us. We are under no obligation to store such Information indefinitely and disclaim any liability arising out of, or related to, the destruction of such Information.

You agree that we, our affiliates, and/or third-party service providers with whom we collaborate and contract may communicate with you regarding our Website via electronic messages, including email, to, for example, send you information relating to our products and Website that we think may be of interest to you, communicate with you about contests, sweepstakes, offers, promotions, rewards, upcoming events, and other news about products and services provided by or through us through permissible targeted advertisements offered by us, our parent companies, our subsidiaries, our affiliates, and other business partners. 9. Children’s Information. The Website is intended only for users over the age of eighteen (18). If we become aware that a user is under thirteen (13) (or a higher age threshold where applicable) and has provided us with Information, we will take steps to comply with any applicable legal requirement to remove such Information. Contact us if you believe that we have mistakenly or unintentionally collected Information from a child under the age of thirteen (13).
10. Aggregate and De-identified Information. We may aggregate and/or de-identify any information collected through the Website so that such information can no longer be linked to you or your device (“Aggregate/De-Identified Information”). When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:
Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App: Information about you and others who may access the App on behalf of your store, such as your name, address, email address, and phone number.
We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account or using the following technologies: “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit HTTP://WWW.ALLABOUTCOOKIES.ORG. “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps. “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to: Communicate with you; Optimize or improve the App; and Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
What information do we collect?
- We collect your customer’s name and shipping address.
Why do we collect it?
- We collect this information to retrieve shipping rates from third-party shipping carriers. Additionally, we collect this information for your own reference when fulfilling orders and to simplify troubleshooting.
What do we do with it?
- The Intuitive Shipping team references this customer information when troubleshooting the app. We do not sell this information or contact your customers. Additionally, if you are calculating your shipping based on live rates, the customer address will be passed to the third-party shipping carriers you use in your store to calculate live rates at checkout. We are not to be held liable for what third-party shipping carriers do with this information.
How long do we store it?
- When a customer calculates a shipping rate in your store, we will maintain their name and shipping address for 60 days from the time of the shipping request.
Sharing Your Personal Information
- We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
- If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.
